THE DEVIL THEY KNOW AND THE ANGEL WE DONT KNOW ..by Onyekachi C Ugwu

The Bible tells us much about the nature or character of angels and that of Devils. The two are poles apart and cannot even be compared in any way.

So those who REGAL US WITH such unsupportable view that THE DEVIL YOU KNOW IS BETTER THAN THE ANGEL YOU DONT KNOW should be made to understand that our preference for the Angel we do not know is not negotiable.

They can go on hobnobbing with the Devil they know. Na them know their Devil after all. We have no business with the Devil. Our concern is that the DEVIL THEY KNOW should not be allowed to operate in our territory.

The last time I checked, the ANGEL I DONT KNOW is endowed with the following characteristics

1. Obedience

Angels are obedient to God’s commandments. They do not hesitate to obey the Lord when He commands them.

Confirming this Psalm 103:20 affirms
“Bless the LORD, O you His angels, you mighty ones who do His bidding, obedient to His spoken word”

2. Holy

The angels were originally created as holy beings to serve God. Isaiah 6:3 records the angels as saying:

And one called to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory”

3. Reverent

The highest activity of angels is the worship of God. They constantly worship God. Ezra said in Nehemiah 9:6: “You are the LORD, You alone; You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. To all of them You give life, and the host of heaven worships You.

4. Communicate To Anyone

Language is no barrier for angels. Paul referred to the speaking ability of angels when in 1 Corinthians 13:1/he said, “Though I speak with the tongues of humans and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal”

5. Intelligent Creatures

When the angels were created, they were made as intelligent spirits. They have been learning from the time they were created – having had the opportunity to observe God’s dealings with humanity. In addition, their intelligence has not been corrupted by sin as is the case with humanity. Therefore their intelligence is beyond that of humans. Scripture acknowledges their knowledge.
In 2 Samuel 14:20 ” But my lord has wisdom like the wisdom of the angel of God to know all things that are on the earth”

6. Limited Knowledge

Though angels have superior intelligence to humans, their knowledge is limited. God cannot add to His knowledge because He knows everything. The same thing cannot be said of angels. They can continue to learn. The Bible says there are things they do not know. For example, they do not know the time of Jesus’ return to the earth.
In Matthew 24:36 it was written
“But about that day and hour no one knows, neither the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father”

Now having come thus far, you can all agree with me that AN ANGEL WE DON’T KNOW will always be appreciated and Loved and desired

Now LET US LOOK AT THE DEVIL THEY KNOW and want us to accept.

A careful reading of the Scripture presents us with the Characteristics of the DEVIL.

1: The Devil is a Deceiver
If Satan’s primary motivation is destruction, his primary method is deception. Though he comes to destroy, he appears as an angel of light (see 2 Corinthians 11:14). He has been deceiving people since the Garden of Eden, when he convinced Adam and Eve to eat from the wrong tree.
Jesus said this of the devil: “Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies” (John 8:44). It is his very nature to lie, but his lies often carry the appearance of truth; they are packaged in a way that many people believe them.

2. The Devil is a Tempter
One of the names given to the devil in the Bible is “the tempter”. Matthew 4:3 and 1 Thessalonians 3:5). Satan works in conjunction with the world system and the sinful nature of man to constantly bring temptation into people’s lives. He wants to bring people into rebellion against God and agreement with himself. Even Jesus was tempted by the devil. Right before He began His public ministry the devil was there to bring various temptations before Him.
Temptation is inevitable in this world so don’t be taken off guard when it happens. Like Jesus, we should be prepared to stand against temptation with the Word of God.

3. The Devil is a Thief
In John 10:10, Jesus referred to the devil as “the thief.” Satan loves to steal from people the things that God has intended for them. He steals joy, hope, life, love, health, and destiny.
He robs the church of its inheritance and keeps people from entering into the promises of God. Many believers are not walking in the blessings of God, not realizing that the thief has robbed them.

4. The Devil is a Murderer
Jesus also referred to the devil as a murderer, saying in John 8:44 that “he was a murderer from the beginning” There is a destructive, hateful, and murderous nature about the devil. He delights in death. Whether it is through murder, suicide, drug overdose, abortion, sickness, or otherwise, Satan is a destroyer.
He certainly seeks to kill people, but also families, churches, dreams, and the list could go on.

5. The Devil is a Distorter
The devil is not a creator; instead he takes what God has created and perverts it. A prime example of this is the area of sexuality. God created sex to be enjoyed by a husband and wife in the context of the marriage covenant. Satan has taken this gift of God and perverted it through promiscuity, adultery, homosexuality, pornography, and other distortions.
Another example of the devil’s distortion is his counterfeiting of the power of God. You can be sure that Satan has a counterfeit for every genuine gift of the Holy Spirit. For example, the counterfeit of the gift of prophecy is occult divination; psychics, fortune-tellers astrologers, and false prophets are operating in a demonic spirit that mimics the true gift of prophecy.
Though this is not an exhaustive list, it gives you an idea of the primary characteristics of our enemy. Now, follow the admonition of James: “Resist the devil and he will flee from you” (James 4:7).

MY dear people

SHOULD ANY STILL PREFER THE DEVIL THEY KNOW TO ANGEL THEY DONT KNOW?

Devil is Devil and Angel is Angel…..
